Guided Climbing Instruction The MRG Climbing School staff is committed to helping you achieve your climbing goals in a friendly and safe manner. Our goal is to work with each individual climber to help them extend their skills and experience. We offer various programs to help meet the needs of each individual and group. Our specialty is teaching the fundamentals to those who are new to climbing, and help them to learn more advanced aspects of the sport. Our staff is certified by the American Mountain Guides Association, so you can be sure that you are getting the highest level of instruction when under our supervision. Most of our climbing takes place at many wonderful sites throughout New Hampshire and Maine. Areas frequented are Cathedral Ledge, Whitehorse Ledge, Square Ledge, Jockey’s Cap and many others. We work in cooperation with the permit systems required in both states. At the end of the day, you will have experienced a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable day on the rocks. |

One Day Guided Top Rope Climbing If you are new to the sport or have had some experience rock climbing, this is the course for you! Given one’s level of prior experience, we will tailor your day of climbing to suit your skill level. Having a full day outside provides us with the opportunity to experience different types of climbing, while focusing more on each individual’s technique and growth. Summer Climbing Camp For 12 - 16 year olds Come and enjoy an adventurous week of rock climbing OUTDOORS! Climbers will spend the first day getting acquainted with each other while learning many new skills in the rock gym. We will then venture outside for the next three days (weather permitting.) Our day trips will take us to the many cliffs of New Hampshire including Cathedral Ledge, Square Ledge, and Jockey’s Cap. Under guided supervision students will learn how to climb, belay, and repel outside. We will all enjoy pizza, snacks, and refreshments upon our arrival back at the rock gym on Thursday evening. Our last night will be spent climbing in relays, participating in closing ceremonies, and sleeping (we hope). Campers will awake to a brief breakfast (muffins, donuts, and juice) before wrapping up at 8:30am, Friday. Our goal is to teach campers the basic skills of rock climbing while enjoying many challenges taught by a professional staff.
